Pop Up Display Lights: Fixtures, Power Kits and Frame Fit

PORTABLE DISPLAY LIGHTING · FIXTURE AND KIT SELECTION

Pop up display lights: choose the fixture and complete kit

Pop up display lights illuminate the face of a portable exhibition graphic from an arm above the stand. Choosing a replacement involves the frame fitting, lamp input and power unit as well as the visible lamp head. This collection compares compact 5W fixtures and a 24V, 42-LED option, with a separate banner-stand example for a different support structure.

Use the measurements and linked product drawings to shortlist a configuration, then confirm the mounting and electrical details for your own display.

The listed output refers to one selected fixture. It does not determine a universal number of lights per stand, and it does not establish compatibility with another manufacturer's power unit.

Specify a complete lighting kit

Start by deciding which parts are required: the fixture, frame adapter or clamp, power unit, mains lead and lamp-side lead. A picture of a carrying case or a mounting example does not define every supplied kit. State each component in the quotation, especially when an exhibition contractor is assembling multiple display sets.

The 5W MR16 model lists 12V DC and a separable lamp and holder. The compact SL-2086-20L uses a DC connector and a separate wall-plug supply; confirm that supply's lamp-side output. The 42-LED option specifies 24V DC at 0.8A, with different connections pictured for the clamp and shoe-base arrangements. These configurations should not be mixed merely because the fixtures serve similar displays.

Match the light to the pop-up frame

Send a close photograph of the top frame and its fixing position, plus a dimensioned sketch. Identify the rail or scissor profile, available fixing points and the space behind the graphic. Confirm the exact mounting part against the frame drawing and the stand manufacturer's loading instructions.

Check the cable route while the stand is fully assembled. The lamp lead, supply and connector need clearance when the display is packed down. Confirm the kit contents and installation sequence with a sample before approving repeated use across a fleet of portable stands. The frame-mounting guide covers the wider choice of clamps, sliders and plates.

Banner stand lights need a different fitting check

A retractable banner usually has a support pole behind the graphic, while a pop-up display can use a different frame structure. For banner lighting, start with the 7W clip-on LED banner stand light. Compare its clip drawing with the pole's width, shape and mounting position; do not assume it is the same adapter used by a pop-up fixture.

Include the pole profile, distance from the pole to the graphic and the location available for the lamp. Confirm that the stand's loading instructions permit the selected fixture and arrangement. This check is more useful than choosing a light only because its listing says clip-on.

Questions about pop-up display lighting

How many lights should I use?

Provide the graphic width and height, planned mounting height and desired appearance. Output, beam angle, aiming and the graphic surface all affect the result. Confirm the layout with the intended graphic rather than applying one fixture count to every stand.

Can I reuse the old adapter or link several fixtures?

Provide the old adapter label, connector dimensions and polarity. Any linking arrangement must be confirmed for the exact lamps, power unit and cables. For products chosen specifically for that function, use our linkable LED exhibition light collection.

Information for a pop-up display-light quotation

Send the display dimensions, frame or pole drawing, fitting photos, selected model, quantity, white-light preference and destination. Identify whether the order needs complete kits, replacement lamps or mounting parts only, and include existing power-unit labels when retaining any electrical components.
