How to Choose LED Lighting for a Trade Show Booth
Choose trade show booth lighting by the surface you need to illuminate, the available fixing and the electrical configuration. Wattage is only one part of the decision. An exhibition stand contractor also needs a lamp that fits the frame, reaches the graphic and can be connected correctly at the venue.
Start with the display surface
A graphic wall, an individual product and an illuminated lightbox need different arrangements. An external arm light directs light onto the front of a panel. A lightbox uses LEDs inside the cabinet to illuminate the graphic from behind or from its edges. Decide which of these jobs the light must perform before comparing models.
| Display requirement | Product group to compare | Information to send |
|---|
| Front-lit banner or graphic wall | LED exhibition arm lights | Panel width and height, frame construction and lamp mounting position |
| Selected products or a feature area | Adjustable display spotlights | Product location, aiming distance and permitted mounting points |
| Illuminated sign or fabric lightbox | LED lightbox modules or ladder lights | Cabinet dimensions, internal depth and graphic material |
Compare output, beam and arm geometry together
Read the specified luminous flux and beam angle alongside the lamp dimensions. The working distance and aiming position change how the light falls on the graphic. A narrower specified beam and a wider one should be compared in the same installation, rather than treated as interchangeable.
For a catalogue example, SL-2102-48L-DC is a 16W linear arm light with published output of 1300 lm ±10% and a 60° beam. Its drawing specifies 445 × 310 × 46.5 mm. These are selection inputs, not a promise of one fixed coverage width or illuminance at every distance.
Confirm the fixing before buying in bulk
Send a frame section or a photo showing the intended mounting area. A panel clamp, frame slider and mounting plate have different interfaces. Check the matching accessory for the chosen lamp and keep clear space for aiming, graphic tension and cable routing. Do not assume that an accessory fits a named modular stand system without checking the actual profile.
Specify colour and power for the complete order
State the required white-light colour temperature using the model’s available Kelvin option.
Add CRI 90+ if required as a white LED order option; confirm availability for the selected configuration.
Confirm the lamp input, matching supply, connector and destination plug.
List the number of lamps, power locations and required cable arrangement.
Ask which mounting accessories and cables are included in the quotation.
Use a sample to approve the intended display
Evaluate the selected fixture on the actual graphic or panel before a larger rollout. Record the model, fixing, colour option, supply and cable details so the bulk order follows the approved configuration. This is useful whether your team calls the structure a trade show booth, an exhibition stand or a trade fair display.
Prepare your exhibition lighting enquiry
Send the display dimensions, mounting photo, lamp quantity and destination country. Standard wholesale orders start at 20 pcs, samples are available, and regular production lead time is 12–18 days.
